The system has both the BOSA(Back Office Savings Account) and FOSA(Front Office Saving Account)system capabilities as highlited below:

The SACCO system has the following capabilities:
- Membership application (Include member photo and signature for verification)
- Date of membership application
- Member name, next of kin, date of birth, station, ID number, address, permanent address, etc
- Nominee(s) name, ID number, telephone, address and allocated percentage
- Monthly contributions, cumulative contribution
- Variation of members monthly contribution (Both instant and post dated requests)
- Mode of contributions e.g. check off, direct lodgments etc.
- Members Banking details

- Joining/withdrawal dates
- Gender status, age
- Facility for member reinstatement
- Automated issuing of member number
- Ability to categorize membership into groups and apply policies.
- Dividend computation and payment
- Search capabilities by either member number, member name or payroll number.

The system also has :
- Loans Module that manages all aspects to do with loans.
- Payroll Module (Sacco Staff – Integrated to the Accounting and other modules)
- General Ledger (Included in the Accounting application and integrated to the BOSA and FOSA transactions)

Technology Supported:
- Runs on Relational Database Management System preferably MS SQL, Oracle, Sybase, or DB2
- Preferentially runs Microsoft server platform latter than 2000Server -Support XML and XHTML
- Import and export data with MS Excel
- Ability output report on MS word, Excel
- Ability to email reports directly using MS outlook
- Ability to integrate with light weight database and synchronize remotely VIA a PDA
- Ability to scale in database size to store data for 5 years
